About Us

ABOUT

After years of working for other agencies, politicos and everything in-between, we decided we could do it better. So we did, creating effitt and the tagline, “What Rules?” Why? Because we believe rules are often a barrier to creativity, growth and ultimately success.

Located in the Alamo City, San Antonio, Texas, at effitt, we know our strengths – we know where we excel. That’s why we specialize and don’t try to be all things to everyone. We’re an agency that focuses on digital media strategy, digital content strategy and video, encompassing both organic and paid digital media, content creation, and of course, ensuring your strategy aligns with your overall goals and objectives. We create a synergetic plan that’s designed to reach and engage your target audience through the power of digital media, creating fanatical, loyal ambassadors for your brand.

Team Work. Clients First. Results Driven. What Rules. effitt.

theresa about

Theresa Hong

With a strong background in digital media strategy, implementation, writing, marketing and content creation, Theresa brings more than 15 years of agency, private, nonprofit and government industry experience, creating and managing numerous marketing, digital marketing, communications and political campaigns.

While one of Theresa’s favorite components of working with clients is the opportunity to sit, listen and collaborate, she is the first to admit she is a proud sci-fi and tech geek – most notably, integrating technology to relay powerful messages, fast.

Theresa finds satisfaction that the world of communications has managed to preserve the art of face-to-face relationship building, traditional media and advertising, while intertwining this art with the power of digital media. The power to share an idea, tell a story, and instantly disperse the message that, if done right, has the potential to promote action and change behavior is one of the many reasons why Theresa loves what she does.

In her past lives, Theresa has served as an account executive managing a variety of diverse clients for McNally Temple, an agency located in Sacramento. She’s also served as communications and digital media director for a California state senator, as well as worked in the tech and energy industries. In 2016, Theresa served as digital content director for the Donald J. Trump for President Digital Media Campaign.

A San Antonio native, she’s incredibly happy to be back in the Alamo City – where her heart and family reside. After hours, you’ll probably find her being a tourist in her hometown, accidentally photo-bombing families in front of the Alamo.

dan about

Dan Hong

An early adopter, Dan has always been the first in cutting-edge production technology. He began his love for production 20-something years ago when he embraced the world of local cable. There, he honed his local television commercial skills, producing hundreds of unforgettable (and yes, a
few forgettable) advertisements that reached thousands of individuals on a daily basis.

From Cable, Dan moved into teaching multimedia design for the Merced County Office of Education. With two partners, he created We Three Multimedia, a multimedia oasis serving Central Valley California, offering services ranging from commercials to websites to live events.

In 2006, Dan entered into the world of digital media – in its infancy – where he was one of the first in the industry to create a broadband television system, reaching hundreds of thousands with cutting-edge, captive-audience programming and content. Dan has been featured in numerous articles and books, including Digital Signage: Software, Networks, Advertising, and Displays.

In 2015, Dan became the senior video editor for the Donald J. Trump for President Digital Media Campaign. Through his vision, creativity and innovation, his content reached and effectively persuaded millions of viewers not just in the digital realm, but traditional media platforms, too.

A lifelong Californian, Dan is happy to be a part of the Alamo City where he resides with his wife and partner in crime, Theresa, and their three boys, Christopher, Kendrich and Cammy. He’s also an expert bread maker, bringing with him from California, his prized possession, a sourdough starter he created and babied from scratch.
